I find it very unprofessional when a hairstylist has long nails. While I had no problem with my hair, color or cut, I had an unfortunate accident while the hairstylist was washing my hair and her nails scratched my eye. Initially I thought some color had gotten into my eye while she was shampooing but I soon realized that it was her nail that scratched my eye, and I suffered for two day with blurriness, red eyes and watering and finally had to get antibiotics to get some relief.
What is even more frustrating is that I did not want to leave this review and contacted the owner but my call has not been returned.
Again, while I had no problem with the Hair Stylist or her work nevertheless, an accident did happen.

I'm filling this out, since it came to my email as a survey. I came into True on the 5th. I had a partial highlight. I know nothing about bleach--what volume to use, how long to process it. I am an expert at court reporting, not hair. My haircut looked great and the highlights looked very light. I paid for my services, tipped $50 (more than 20%), walked down the street to Hollywood Eyes for my glasses appt. The person at Hollywood Eyes helping me noticed my hair was cracking off on my face, which I noticed as well. They knew I had just left Truu. I left HE and called Stephanie. I was told there is nothing much that can be done. After all, if the front of my hair framing my face is cracking off, it's cracking off for good until it grows back. Stephanie does not work Saturdays, but I have to say, if I had a client with a hair disaster, I would come into the salon and do what I could to help the client. However, I came in today anyway, the 6th, and stylist Kim, giving instruction to Andie, the receptionist, applied a mask to my hair. It is still on my head moisturizing whatever hair isn't broken off. My birthday is on the 8th, and my husband has a Bar event (he is a lawyer) I need to attend and be dressed up for on the 9th. I feel sick inside. I barely slept last night. I called and asked to speak to the owner David. I have been told he "has meetings" and may not be able to call today. Obviously, this is a priority to me and not to him, and he is aware of the situation. I had no control over this situation. I have no idea, again, how long to leave a product on my hair or what volume to use--the stylist is in complete control and I certainly gave no instruction as I am out of my league when it comes to hair. If I want to destroy my hair, I can probably do it myself with guesswork using products right in my own home--no one expects to go to a salon and have their hair break off in the hands of a professional. Again, it goes a long way in customer service to have a phone call from the owner, perhaps even reversing the charge for the highlight service that destroyed your hair. Lynda Royer

You had me sign a health form and wouldn’t take my cc but your shop was overcrowded. 5 beauticians 2 receptionists and 5 customers. I observed chairs where not wipe down any different Yom accept for the one in front. and as a new cape..you mean washed. I don’t mind paying $5 extra to be safe. I am sorry I stayed.

I went there for a simple bang trim. I have straight long hair so it shouldn't be a big deal, right? I just asked for a cut BELOW the eyebrows and I got one half inch above...so now it looks like an awful helmet instead of a neat straight bang. It will grow, eventually, but I have an event today and it looks pretty awkward and is not even straight but shorter in the middle. I'm not happy at all

Worest hair I have ever had in my life. Stylist did not listen, dry cut my hair, cut while my back was to the mirror so I could not see what he was doing. Only good thing is my hair goes back fast and at least I will not need it cut for 2 months.
