Another reason why I haven't made it to a stylist for so long is that I can never find one that I trust. It seems like they always nod their heads and smile at what I am asking for, then do what they want to do. My stylist had asked me how I wear my hair, in which I responded, "With my natural curls." What does she do? She straightens my hair! >:( I was passing time on my phone before realizing she was half way through straightening it. Sure, it looked nice. But that's just not how I wear my hair, and I thought that was kind of rude and strange to do after she had asked me how I wear it. So, I couldn't tell how the style really was with my natural hair. Like I said, it looked good but it wasn't in it's natural state. Once I showered and brought the curls back... ugh. I wish I could go back in time and tell her to stop doing what she was doing! I wanted my hair to be shoulder length with curls, but she cut it shoulder length straightened out... So with the curls it is MUCH shorter than anticipated, with layers that make sense for straight hair, but not for curls. I'm pretty upset about it. It looks so weird curly and I don't straighten my hair due to the damage it causes plus I'm all about rocking the natural glow! But, it grows back. So I'll be patient. I'll be back, but definitely with another stylist who is more experienced with curls.
